Incubator update

Well, our first attempt at incubating eggs didn't work out so well. Much to our disappointment, none of our cinnamon queen eggs hatched.

We're trying again, though, with a couple dozen quail eggs. We've managed to keep the temperature more stable than last time, and hopefully we'll have better results. These little eggs should start hatching around February 25th.

  1. wow. I wish you guys could come out here to AZ. You can have your pick of quail and a bajillion!! quail eggs. I just discovered another nest today in our trash bin. We had scaled back some sagebrush and had it in the bin waiting for compost pickup...she found it and there are about 12 or 14 eggs just sitting in the bin..all nested in. We find new nests every week out here. Needless to say...we are flush with quail.
